About the Artist
a Cincinnati, Ohio resident specializing in hand painted - whimsical pottery. she began painting in 1992 by giving new life to discarded furniture. she found relaxation and peace in this creative outlet. painting old furniture was an excellent way to furnish her first home on a shoestring budget. it was not long before her house was full and she began painting for family and friends. in the summer of ‘98 while vacationing in northern michigan, she became fascinated with the idea of water colors on ceramic tile. with the encouragement of her mother-in-law and husband she acquired a kiln and began an entirely new direction with her painting… not only water colors on tile - but everything that is on this website. remember the painted lady encourages special requests and personalized pieces. her approach is cheerful, unique, and most of all - fun!
